Read To Travel

Where I Read Lord Of The Rings (The Fellowship)

There are dozens of my books on my shelves that I am dying to read, yet also waiting for the perfect time to read them.  Something about reading a specific book at a certain time in my life feels special.  Often these connections, this recognition of the opportune timing, make no sense.  I just know when it’s the right time.  However, waiting to read The Fellowship of the Ring did make perfect sense to me.  I knew I was embarking on a long journey, like Frodo, and on my journey I intended to take along books whose characters I could connect with and ideas that would resonate deeply with me.  To put it bluntly, I knew I would visit New Zealand’s Hobbiton and I saved reading this book until the very week that I did.

Favorite Quotes

“For still there are so many things/ that I have never seen:/ In every wood in every spring/ There’s a different green./ I sit beside the fire and think/ Of people long ago,/ And people who will see a world/ That I shall never know.”

“Not all those who wander are lost.”

“Do not despise the lore that has come down from distant years; for it may chance that old wives keep in memory words of things that were once needful for the wise to know.”

Hi just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the pictures aren’t loading properly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different browsers and both show the same outcome.

Good web site! I really love how it is easy on my eyes and the data are well written. I’m wondering how I could be notified whenever a new post has been made. I have subscribed to your RSS feed which must do the trick! Have a nice day!

I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog and was wondering what all is required to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very internet savvy so I’m not 100 positive. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks
