My New Zealand Bucket List

There’s something magical about embracing spontaneity.  At the moment, I do not have too many definite plans after landing in Auckland.  I don’t know what to expect or what to do first, which is both exciting and overwhelming.  2016 is going to be an interesting year full of adventure.  Here is a handful of things I want to do and see so far:

Go Bungy Jumping in Queenstown

Visit Hobbiton

NZ Hobbiton

Explore Mildford Sound

Go Skydiving

Heli-hike a glacier

NZ Fox Glacier

Go hot air ballooning

Kayak through the Bay of Islands

See the geothermal wonders in Rotorua

NZ Rotorua Geothermals

Go to an All-Blacks game

Hike in Wanaka

NZ Wanaka

Drink my way through wine country

See the Southern Lights

Roadtrip South Island!

What is something you think I NEED to do in New Zealand?

Tara Higgins

Tara Higgins

Tara loves all things London and wants to spend the rest of her life reading books in beautiful places. She can often be found nestled up in a bookshop, drinking a pint at the pub, or searching for the best pizza slice in town.

What is an All-Blacks game?!?! I’ve never heard of that in my life!
The rest of these I have heard of though, and seen so many pictures. You are going to have the most incredible year. I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds! GOOD LUCK AND SAFE TRAVELS! 🙂

You HAVE to go to Wellington! It is just the best city, and just drink lots of wine and wander round the waterfront. Rotorua is definitely a good one, try and make it to the Waitomo glow worm caves on your way down south too. The glaciers are awesome and there are some good lakes round there too. Try Kaikoura on the other side for whales too. Ah just love it all!!
