Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport

If there is one thing I have realized from the family vacations of my childhood and teenage years, it is the importance of a good night’s sleep before embarking on a journey. I backpacked solo through Eastern Europe for two weeks while my luggage was locked away at Dublin Airport awaiting my return. There were nights I worried for my safety, nights I lay sweating in a room somewhat akin to a cell, nights that were the third consecutive I had gone without showering, and nights I was grossed out to go under the covers.

After spending a month in Ireland, flying to Croatia to Belgium to Hungary, catching a train to Austria then to Czech Republic, and finally, back to Ireland, I would end my adventure with an evening in Dublin before my final flight home to the United States. All I longed for was a quiet night to recharge and prepare for the early morning and full day of travel I had ahead of me. The Carlton Hotel is exactly what I was looking for.

A juicy burger from KittyHawks Bistro & Bar before an evening of packing, resting, and netflixing is just what the doctor ordered.  Did I mention that my spacious, beautiful room with a bed big enough for me and three friends had complimentary wifi as well? The hotel also provides guests traveling to and from the airport with a complimentary shuttle.  I could not possibly have wished for a more comfortable night before traveling home to the United States.  If you have an early flight out of Dublin and want to feel relaxed and prepared for your journey ahead, look no further than the luxurious, 4 star Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport.
